Earthquake north-east of Martinique

7th November, 2007

Early on Wednesday morning 7th November at 2:30 a.m. local time, an earthquake occurred east of Martinique. The preliminary location for the event is 14.99°N 60.46°W. The event was reported felt in Saint Lucia and Martinique and may have been felt in Dominica. There have been no reports of damage or injuries. The map below shows the location of the earthquake.

On Sunday night 15th July at 11:39 p.m. local time, an earthquake occurred southwest of Tobago. The preliminary location for the event is 11.05°N 60.86°W. The event may have been felt in Tobago. The map below shows the location of the earthquake.

Earthquake west of Trinidad

15th July, 2007

On Sunday night 15th July at 9:32 p.m. local time, an earthquake occurred about 95km west of Port of Spain, Trinidad. The preliminary location for the event is 10.77°N 62.24°W. Diego Martin, Port of Spain, Lopinot, Maraval, Chaguarnas, Santa Cruz, St. Augustine, Trincity, Arima and San Fernando, Trinidad and in Scarborough, Tobago. There have been no reports of damage or injuries. The map below shows the location of the earthquake.

On Monday night 16th April at 11:45p.m. local time, an earthquake occurred about 70km northwest of Port of Spain, Trinidad. The preliminary location for the event is 11.06°N 62.21°W. The event was reported as felt in Tacarigua and Chaguaramas, Trinidad.

On Thursday morning 29th March at 1:25 a.m. local time, an earthquake occurred about 80km southeast of Saint Lucia. The preliminary location for the event is 13.60°N 60.20°W. The event was reported as felt widely in Saint Lucia. There have been no reports of damage or injuries thus far.

Earthquake near Trinidad

27th February, 2007

On Tuesday morning 27th February at 9:26 a.m. local time, an earthquake occurred about 90km west of Port of Spain, Trinidad. The preliminary location for the event is 10.74°N 62.59°W. The event was reported as felt in El Socorro, Diego Martin, Curepe, Port of Spain, and Bayshore in Trinidad. There have been no reports of damage or injuries thus far. This event is not related to the magnitude 4.7 earthquake which occurred near Trinidad on February 23, 2007

Earthquake near Port of Spain, Trinidad

23rd February, 2007

On Friday morning 23rd February at 10:48 a.m. local time, an earthquake occurred near Port of Spain, Trinidad. The revised location for the event is 10.77°N 61.43°W. The event was reported as felt in San Fernando, Arima, Curepe, Claxton Bay, Port of Spain, and Point Lisas in, Trinidad as well as Tobago and Upper Hopewell in St. Vincent. There have been no reports of damage or injuries thus far.
